Removing the TV

Hi Doug,

When we met at the RV park in Utica IL in September of this year,  you suggested that I submit a tip for you, but I had nothing until today.

I was busy winterizing our '98 RexAir and wished to remove the TV from the front console so that we would have a spare TV for the exercise room.  (The wife declared I should make it so!)  But in spite of removing the four screws from the bottom and sides of the TV enclosure, that TV would not budge a millimeter.

Eventually, I started probing the perimeter for hidden screws with a putty knife.  I found no additional screws, but the TV was now free!  The vinyl had adhered itself to the sides of the TV case.  Sliding a putty knife all around the perimeter broke it free with little effort.

Maybe next year I'll report on the best way to retrofit a nice light LCD TV in there?  ;-)
