Dining Table Modification

2000 Rexhall  Model 3550BSL did not allow for storage of High Low table under the existing table. We purchased 2, 6 foot pieces of steel tubing  (2” X 2”X1/2”High) from a welding shop. Cost $20.00. We had them cut to the proper length to support the 38 Lb table top. Using the existing 3/8” bolts we drilled holes thru the feet of the table legs. Using the original holes in the floor installation was  easy. Large fender washers were added to spread the load on the bolts beneath the floor. A cross brace was added for further stability. We used all the existing wood under the table top and screwed the legs to them. The final installation provides for easy storage of the High Low table while traveling or when the room is not extended. I paid a fabrication shop $40.00 to cut, bend, weld and brace the legs to the proper configuration for a total cost of $60.00.  Finally The legs were painted with a bronze coating that enhanced it’s appearance in the coach. See photos.
