Under the sink storage cupboard door.
This is about installing an additional cupboard door for under the sink storage access.
It applies to those models which have the kitchen sink on the passengers side of the vehicle, just to the left as you walk up the entrance stairs. It makes this storage area infinitely more accessible and I strongly recommend it.

These models have a lower shelf with a long (22x9) cupboard door near the floor which supplies excellent access to this lower shelf.
The only access to the upper shelf under the sink is from the kitchen, which serves both the upper and lower shelves. The 2000 kitchen door is much wider than the old 1995 door, but accessing the depths of the top shelf, especially around and behind the sink plumbing trap remains difficult at best.
In the ’95 I put in a cupboard door for the top shelf on the entry way side. It was marvelous. So it didn’t take long for Linda to request the same for our 2000.
During my first ever Rexhall Homecoming Rally, I purchased another 22x9 inch cupboard door and hardware (identical to the lower shelf door) from the Lancaster service center. Then of course I found out I could have bought them at the flea market for a fraction of the cost. I chose to move the water filter over a few inches, very easy to do, but not required.
I have omitted the technical details for 3 reasons;
Most of you probably wouldn’t do this yourself. Your local RV technician could easily do it, as could a cabinet maker or other woodworking professional, or a handy neighbor.
Those who are adept carpenters can easily figure it out.
It takes a fair amount of space, and I am happy to provide a “how I did it” response to your request.
It is difficult to convey what a big difference this door makes in the usable undersink storage space. But it certainly does. I would strongly recommend considering this addition.
I recently met another Rexhall owner who had decided he needed the
same thing, had it installed, and his wife loves it too.
