Holding Tank Emptying

I had discovered that my gas tank filled quicker and more completely when my RV was tipped to the right (see “filling the gas tank”).  It wasn’t long after that I discovered the same was true for holding tank emptying.  In my vehicle, tipping toward the left, with the nose slightly higher, I obtained better emptying.  You can use either blocks for the wheels or leveling jacks.

So I use this technique if I want my tanks really empty.  Most of the time, I don’t bother, especially when I know there is another  dump station in my immediate future.  But you might keep it in mind when preparing for those longer boondocks.
