Copilot footstool
Many women have short shins (tibia bones). Another way to look at it is that Motorhome manufacturers make their seats for men with long tibias. In any case, the copilot often has trouble reaching the floor while sitting.
This was true in our case, and I quickly and not too neatly attached a couple of boards together and wrapped them with carpet to provide a footrest. I promised to do a better job later. Ken Wilson, writer for FMCA magazine recently wrote an article about building a footstool. As I was “almost ready” to make mine, Linda was going through Camping World’s catalog and noticed their Valet foot stool, item 19292 for under $20.
It is attractive, well build, just the right size, and arrived significantly sooner than mine would have. She has been very happy.

We just took two padded chair seat cushions, available at home furnishings stores, and put them on the floor. The copilot can use just one or both to rest the feet on, depending on need.
At the recent Rexhall Rally in Lancaster, I learned that the cockpit chairs are mounted on pedestals, which are totally separate from the seats, and come in a variety of heights. Changing the copilot's pedestal to a lower one is therefore an easy solution. Yet another more expensive fix is to order four way electric cockpit chairs.
