Copilot’s Vents
My copilot needs air. Lots of fresh air at all times. She would be pleased if the air blower in vehicles did not have an OFF position.
The angle of the dash in front of the co-pilot position had too little angle. When the vents were rotated "down" the air would still be above my wife's head. Rexhall told me that they carry only the one kind of vent.
I unscrewed one and removed it. Then, I filed as much as I could in hopes of persuading it to rotate down far enough so that it would blow at face level. Couldn't be done. I knew that if she were to go with me on trips, I would have to do something.
When Beaver Coaches were being built in Bend, OR, I learned that they used 4 similar vents on various models. I was able to find one that actually would rotate down enough to even aerate a belly-button!
The parts man was not anxious to look up the name of the manufacturer of the better vent, but it's face is all black. Rexhall put vents in that had a "chrome-look" trim. (See photo of the new one.)
The switching over is quite easy: unscrew the 2 screws and pull the vent out a bit. The duct is held in place by a nylon zip-tie. Remove the zip tie and duct and all that is left is the installation of the new vent. The plastic these are made of is not very strong, just gently finesse the new one back into the hole and do not bear down with a screw driver too hard. Since it was so easy, I replaced all four vents.
My wife finds this to be a tremendous fix

Linda noted the “vent air on the ceiling” right away. Our solution was quick, but not nearly as nice as Darrell’s. But you should know that the curved portion of a plastic gallon milk jug makes a great deflector. Just cut and place.

Got them from the parts counter at the Bend Oregon - Beaver Coach Dealer. The parts manager suggested that he did not want a bunch of people from all over the country trying to do what I did (took a bit of his time).
He was unable to give me the mfg of the vent, too. I fully expect if anyone stops by, they will get what they need, though
