Wardrobe shoe shelf

Neither Linda nor I have a large number of floor length gowns. At least not that we bring while traveling. Since we also don’t have enough shoes for one of those shoe holders that goes around the edge of the bed, but do have more than just the floor space in the wardrobe, we decided on a shelf for the closet.

I was all ready to make one, but as we were walking through the store, Linda says “Here it is”. She was right of course. One of those wire, under the sink shelves. 12 x 18 inches with legs 8 inches tall. Perfect. Fits just right in the closet and lots of room underneath.

The square wire holes are even just right for an umbrella, feather duster, walking stick etc.

We had the same idea for the shoe rack, except we stacked 5 of the wire shelves on top of each other at one end of the hanging closet; they snap together securely.  We use them not just for shoes but other items as well.  We did not need the entire closed space for hanging clothes.
