Bedroom cupboards

Here are the three changes we made to give us the clothing storage we needed.  The upper closet next to the bed is to short to hang anything in, so my husband installed the 4 metal strips on the 2 sides of the closets and the little shelf clips.  The we bought one finished 11 1/2 x 48" shelf and 8 clips.  He  cut 20" of each end so the edge showing when you open the door is also finished and we ended up with 3 shelves which we use to store all of our sweatshirt, snugs, etc.

Under that small closet is the bedside storage which again wasn't very user friendly.  We bought 2 simple white wire trays and the holder at BED, BATH, & BEYOND and it stores all of my husband's underware and socks easier than if they were in drawers.

Our closet came with a very nice 3 drawer cabinet on one side, so we bought the 3 drawer combination shown in the picture also at BBB.  It stores all of my husbands tee shirts and golf shirts very nicely.

There's also room behind it for our heavy winter coats which we seldom use, if we are lucky, by installing hooks on the back wall of the closet and my small ironing board on the side.

The measurements of the particular storage units would depend upon the individual motorhomes.  We have a 2003 35TS AERBUS.

Hope these improvements which made life a lot easier for us, will help others.

Now our Aerbus has similar shelving for similar clothing.

“Hey Linda, didn’t our rig come with shelves in the upper bedroom cupboard?”

“No, dear”

“Well, how did they get there?’

“You put them in for me, sweetheart.”

“Well, why didn’t I write a tip about them?”

“Remember how much you wanted other Rexhall owners to contribute?  The reason you didn’t, was so the Pinckney’s could do it.  You can’t hog all the tips yourself, you know.”
