Entry Way Hand Rail

As we get older it seems we need more to grab on to.  This need was increased last year when my wife had two back surgeries and had problems getting in and out of our coach.  I looked at the hand rails that many of the newer coaches were installing by the entry door, but they all fastened with screws into the wood floor which didn't seem strong enough.

Handicap grab bars are available from a number of sources, in several lengths.  The 24" fit the area by our entry door above the fire extinguisher. Since Rexhall has an all steel frame, it was an easy matter to use a magnet to locate the frame members.  The grab bar is fastened with 6 screws and is real solid.
