Cockpit Bubble Level Mount
Leveling for convenience is nice. However, even though RV refrigerators have been improved, technicians who work on them have told me that they will work better and last longer if truly level whether running on propane or electricity.
I wanted a level that I could easily see from the driver's seat allowing precise leveling without moving about.

Not wanting to make any new holes in my motorhome, I used a piece of angle aluminum. A piece could be bent if needed. This "L" bracket needs to be as wide as the level you have. I used glue to fix the level to the top of the bracket. Then, I set one end standing on the surface of the window sill to the left of driver. Next, I marked where an existing screw is used to hold the window parts. I drilled a hole in the bracket and reinserted the screw.
It took a bit of fine-tuning to get it to fit exactly since the window sill was not exactly level with the refrigerator (actually, my second effort was correct.) The bracket will not rock because it is standing on the sill, but secured by the screw. However, because it is aluminum, I can tweak it a bit until it is EXACTLY level with the floor of the freezer, per instructions.
If mounted like mine in the photo, the curtains should not be any problem.
Now, leveling is easy. Many times, I can see that just a few inches forward or backwards will eliminate any need of leveling at all. Now, if some of the National Forest campgrounds would have sites that are less than 3-feet out of level.............Hmmm.
