Banana Box
I got tired of my bananas ripening too fast. John gave me an old computer keyboard box (20 1/2" X 6 /1/2 X 2 1/4 High) It has two nickle size holes in the front edge for air circulation. We painted a few bananas on the top and labeled it ..."Banana Box" what else?
Can you believe this simple box makes the produce last 3 weeks without spoiling. They do turn black. However, they stay firm and delicious well beyond the spoil date. Try it!

Like you perhaps, we poo-pooed this idea when we heard about it. But then Marjorie gave us a box, and amazingly enough, it works as advertised. No one seems to know how it works, but it really does.
